Hey everyone. I am sorry I have been not been posting as much this past week. We actually moved to the Bay Area last weekend, and I promise you it’s not easy with two kids, but for the most part they did pretty good. Somehow we survived this crazy weekend. More about that later this week, and I can’t wait to share pics of this beautiful place!
Anyone that knows me knows that fitness is a very important part of my life. And of course good comfy cute workout gear is a must! Albion fit has SO many cute workout clothes you will die for, and they are top of the line quality! And check out there new swimsuit line…AMAZING! I want them all!!
Since I had Lettie two and a half months ago, I have been trying (key word trying) to get back in shape. It’s been harder to find time to work out because I now have two kids to take care of. Instead of going to the gym, I have been trying out T25 from home. It’s an intense, 25 minute workout that you can do at home. It’s a great option for mothers, or anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time to work out. I just started over a month ago and its a 3 month work out plan. When I am done I will let you know what I think about it. So far I am loving it!!
Also, I’ve noticed nutrition is more important than ever for me. I don’t always have time to make healthy meals so I grab something quick. I use to grab something that wasn’t good for me (aka candy and chocolate) that was stashed in my cupboard instead of a good healthy lunch or snack. Here are some of my favorite healthy snacks for a busy, on-the-go lifestyle. I have noticed results just from snacking on these healthy, quick options.
I am not sure if you have tried or seen these salads at Costco, but they are seriously so good and easy to grab on the go. I love to add chicken or a boiled egg to them, or if I have time, I cut up more veggies to add to it. It’s perfect for lunch or for a mid-afternoon snack. They even come with a little fork so you can eat them any where you go!! I also love these unsalted nuts from Costco (I obviously love Costco). They are a perfect option to hold you over until your next meal. I have a handful or two a day and it keep me full and gives me the good fats that my body needs.
An easy snack to pack in your purse is dried apples. This brand does not have any added sugar and they are delicious. And super good for you! I think every women should take a prenatal vitamin, especially if you want to have babies! I had a hard time finding a good one that doesn’t upset my stomach, until I found these ones. And they are so good, which is the best part. Its like a little treat that you can’t feel guilty for! They didn’t even upset my stomach when I was pregnant.
I also like something quick and easy, yet healthy, for dinner. Here are some of my all-time favorite recipes here, here, here & here that I found on pinterest that are on “repeat” at our house all the time. I actually made the coconut curry soup last night and my husband loves it! Any of these are great to have on hand! I promise you will thank me later 😉
