Hey guys! A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit Blackhawk Plastic Surgery and today I’m spilling all the beans on what I had done and my true feelings on these types of medical beauty treatments!

So when I first arrived at their office, they gave me a tour around their awesome facility.  Guys, it was SO nice and they were all SO sweet!  One of my biggest things when choosing any doctor, whether it be for beauty needs or health stuff, I always look for the way I feel when I’m in the office and how the staff and doctors treat me.  I am so big on “bedside manner” and if I don’t get a welcoming and warm vibe from the office when I first go in, I’m not going to end up ever going back.  This place was above par and makes you feel so comfortable, which is so important if you’ve never had these procedures done before.  Dr. Ronan and his staff were so nice and it is such a welcoming place.

So before I dive into the procedures I had done, I want to make sure everyone knows how I feel about this kind of stuff.  I do not think botox and fillers and all these injection type beauty treatments are not for everyone.  I’m all about everyone doing what they feel is best for THEMSELVES.  If you have no interest in these beauty treatments, then don’t do them!  We all want to feel and look our best, that’s just a fact of life.  For me, I feel like I look my best when I get a little something something done here and there!  Mommyhood with three kids and working full time wears me down and I like to do this stuff to help me look rested and youthful even when I am DEAD tired!  Like the title of this blog post, we’re not getting any younger!  🙂  However, I don’t ever want to go overboard with treatments and always think that the most natural look is the best!  With that said, I’ll dive into the things I had Dr. Ronan do for me in case anyone is interested in these types of procedures!

Starting with my forehead, I got dysport (which is like botox) injected there.  It helps minimize my fine lines I already have and prevent new ones from forming.  Next, I had Dr. Ronan give me a little filler on my cheekbones because when I lose weight my cheeks are the first to go.  Lastly, I got a little filler done for the first time ever in my lips!  This is something I’ve wanted to try out for years but I’ve been too scared to do it.  I was worried how it would look after and also about the pain, but Dr. Ronan did such an amazing job.  It didn’t hurt and my lips look natural still.  They look so natural that my husband Casey didn’t really even notice, which is exactly what I want! haha.  Something to give my lips a little more plump and volume but so subtle that no one is going to be like, “Oh dang! Look at those lips!”   🙂
