So today I turn 24…. I wish haha. Actually it’s my 34th birthday, what?! I can’t believe it. I honestly still feel like I am just this young girl in my twenties. This is the funny thing- I remember my parents being my age and seeming so old, but here I am! I have to say, though, that I would take being in my 30’s over my 40’s any day! I learn and grow so much every year and I love the place I’m in these days. Here are a 4 things I learned at age 33.
4 THINGS I LEARNED WHEN I WAS 33
1. Raising 3 kids is not easy. I repeat, not easy. It’s for sure worth it, but so so hard. I am still wondering how my mom had 7 kids and mother-in-law 6 kids. I always heard that 3 kids is the hardest and I have to tell you I totally agree. The jump from 2 to 3 kids has been a big jump. Londyn is even a prefect baby and it’s still hard, haha. But I wouldn’t change my crazy mom life for the world.
2. Don’t sweat the small stuff. I feel like I really had to learn this with 3 kids or I would be a wreck haha. A lot of things that I wish I could get done go by the way side, and I used to stress about it. These days, however, I have to let it go or I would be a nut case. Take my laundry, for example. We can never keep up with it. There are piles and piles and piles. But we have learned to just deal with it, instead of stress about it.
3. Surround yourself with positive people. This is something I get better at every year. Positive energy is a real thing guys! It’s a waste of time to be around people that don’t lift you up and that don’t believe in you. I used to hang out with people that probably weren’t the best influence– not because they were bad people, but because they just didn’t push me to become better. Surrounding myself with people that encourage me to better has helped me to achieve goals that I never would have imagined.
4. Hard work always pays off. The more work you put in to something the more you will get in return. Once you put your mind to something and really believe in yourself, and surround yourself with people who believe in you as well, you can move mountains. You can really achieve amazing things. An added bonus is that you become way more confident in yourself.
I’m looking forward to the next year and all the things I’ll learn by my next birthday. Thanks for stopping by!
