How To Decorate Your Mantle For Halloween
Let’s talk about how to decorate your mantle for Halloween this year. I personally can not wait for all of the fun holidays that are quickly approaching. I’m excited to be able to create some fun memories and focus on spending time together as a family. One of my favorite ways to get into the Halloween spirit is by decorating my house! It makes my house instantly feel more festive and my kids absolutely LOVE it. Today I am going to be sharing three ways that you can decorate your mantle for Halloween. And the best part is that I have included three FREE printables to help you spruce up your mantle and not have to spend an arm and a leg.
1. Traditional Halloween Mantle 2019
Last year I shared this Halloween mantle inspiration and it was a huge hit. My kids LOVED this one and it was actually super easy to create. I found most of my decorations at Target and Amazon and they were all incredibly affordable. You can find that complete post HERE. There is also a FREE “Trick or Treat Yo’self” printable for you right HERE. These are such fun and easy ways to decorate your mantle for Halloween! I also love that I could keep things spooky, but not too spooky. Nobody wants terrified little ones! Since my kids are still so young I was very intentional about what items I chose and how I put all of the decorations together. Bats, skeletons and pumpkins are a great segway into the more scary creatures Halloween sometimes brings to the surface. Target and Amazon for the win, once again!

2. Halloween Mantle 2020
This year we went for the same vibes as last year, but simplified a little bit and switched out a few of our old decorations for new ones. I love the black fabric on the mantle and my mirror adds such a fun pop of personality. As you can tell, the kids were totally loving this setup (OK, maybe not Crew HA). Again, I wanted to go with a spookier theme, but not TOO spooky. Simple, fun Halloween décor has made everyone so much more excited for Halloween. My kids eyes literally lit up when they came out and saw all of the decorations set up. This is such a simple approach to making the holidays more fun and memorable for your children!
Another fun idea would be to turn on some Halloween tunes while decorating your mantle! I know that my kids LOVE music and it always helps to create a fun, lighthearted atmosphere. AKA it can help take the stress out of decorating your mantle with four children.

3. Fall/Halloween Mantle Inspiration
I know that some people like to decorate more for the fall season than exclusively for Halloween, so I thought I would share a another idea with some subtle colors and warm vibes. I found these beautiful neutral fall decorations and I was so excited because they went perfectly with the look I was going for. The greenery and textures helped to bring personality and dimension to the mantle without making it to cluttered or overwhelming to look at. And I absolutely love how this turned out. These decorations will easily transition into Thanksgiving which I love. Also, these printables turned out so cute! You can click HERE to download them for yourself for FREE. Tag me when you use them so that I can see all of your cute mantles!

Setting up holiday decorations with a newborn and three littles is in no way, shape or form easy. We still aren’t in a great routine and sometimes it feels like there is constant chaos and NOISE, but I knew how important this was to my kids and I’m so glad that I took the time to decorate and help make Halloween feel a little more real to them. With the craziness of Covid, everything feels a little off in their world, so I am glad that I could help bring some normalcy through something as simple as Halloween decorations.
