I have been wanting to do a fitness post for the longest time and am so happy I finally got around to it. I used to workout or dance 5 to 6 days a week, but now that I am a mother it’s more like 3 to 4 days a week … if that! I think the important thing is to just get moving and do something you enjoy. It can be going to the gym, dancing, hiking or some other outdoor activity. Do whatever makes you happy!
I think what you eat is the most important. I used to try seemingly every fad diet and it did more harm than good. I would crave everything I couldn’t eat and go crazy and eat everything in sight on the weekends! For me, “everything in moderation” has been by far the most effective method because it’s become a lifestyle and not a diet. I don’t deprive myself, but I also don’t have those cravings to eat everything either!
When thinking of fitness, the first person that pops into my head is my friend Kristy from Body Buddies. Not only does she have a rockin body, but she has great ideas when it comes to nutrition and everything fitness related, including outfits! I’m so happy to have her share some insights on this post.
Here are some of are favorite workout attire. They are comfy and easy to workout in. Kristy also has a fun DIY to share!
Best shorts ever. So light and comfy. Feels like you are wearing nothing.
When it comes to tennis shoes I always love Kohl’s. They always have the best prices and great styles to choice from. And they are on sale!
This workout attire is called.. I feel bloated or ate to much chocolate attire. We all need a outfit like this. This is my favorite tee. Its the softest material in the world. These capris I could wear everyday (I kind do). They are so comfy to lounge in and working out in!!

Say Hello to my beautiful friend Kristy. She seriously knows her stuff when is comes to fitness. She actually has a blog here and facebook here called Body Buddies where she shares tons of awesome motivation tips and fitness ideas to keep you on a track more healthy. And also great healthy recipes! She has a youtube here that shows you step by step how to become more physically fit like her. Check them out! I promise you wont regret it!!
She is going to explain how she made her cute pink DIY shirt (shown in the pictures above)
I like to go to Deseret Industries (or a thrift store) and buy $4 T-shirts like this pink Banana Republic top. I then take a pair of scissors and cut around the collar, down to the arm pit, then cut a straight line across the back to make a halter top. Being at the gym six days a week requires me to have a lot of gym tops. I like bright and colorful colors so that I still feel feminine while throwing around heavy weights!
I cant wait to make that shirt. Love it!! I always love new ideas on health and fitness. What are some tips or thing you love to do when it comes to being healthy? Hope you all have had a great week so far. Thanks so much for reading!
Love,
LaTisha
