I had to do these earrings to go along with my Vintage Inspired post! They are super easy, a lot of fun and not to mention CHEAP! I love wearing them and had a blast making them for Christmas presents! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!
Here’s what you need:
I got all my stuff at Joann’s, but you can also find it at most craft store’s.
There are 3 simple step’s:
1. Cut the back of the button. You can use scissors but these wire cutters make it much easier.
2. Put a little glue on the earring back. You can use other glue, but this is the strongest I have found.
3. After the glue, place the earring back in the middle of the button. And let dry for up to 10 minutes.
I almost forgot to mention the best part. They are lightweight so they aren’t heavy on the ears like most earrings! Thanks everyone for reading!!
I already told you but I love this π Excited to make my own!!

Oh my goodness I love your blog!!! I just discovered this through pinterest. I haven’t seen much yet but I LOVE your style and these DIYs looks amazing! Would I be able to share a link to this at my blog at some point if thats alright with you? I actually plan to write a tutorial for making studs in the coming weeks too – converting cheap studs to sterling silver posts will be the main theme of it. If I share your link it would be as my favourite DIY find of the week – which is nothing to get excited about yet as I am just starting up and have a very very small group of readers! I am going to have to try your studded shoe DIY too π

Thank you Amelia. So glad you found me! Sure that sounds great! Let me know when you post it so I can see the studded DIY you are thinking of doing! It sounds awesome!! What is you website?
Iβm such a ditz! Sorry! My website is http://bitsquareblog.blogspot.com.au My main idea is to combine diy/refashionings with some style too. In the next few days I hope to do a jewelled floral scarf β similar to your embellished sweater post here too β which looks amazing by the way! Iββll probably do the stud earring within the next 2 weeks. That would be awesome if I could add your link! Iβm kind of new to a lot of the techniques with my DIYs so itβs great to be able to suggest other sites along with mine too.
Hi Latisha! I’ve finally finished my post on stud earrings. It is just how to make basic studs. I included your link at the end of the post with a photo as well – the photo links back to you too. Hope it’s all ok. Do let me know if you’d like me to change anything though! The direct link to the post is http://bitsquareblog.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/diy-basic-stud-post-earrings.html
Thanks so much! π
