So … yeah it’s true, we are moving … again! We went from St George, Utah to Phoenix, Arizona one year ago. Now we are moving to the the San Francisco Bay Area. My husband got another job promotion and we are making the move to California. I am not going to lie, I am really sad to leave. I have meet some amazing lifelong friends here in Arizona that I will miss so much. I love everything about this place. Well, maybe not everything. It will be nice to skip the crazy summer heat … I won’t miss 118 degrees!!
One year ago I left my family, friends, clients and newly built home. That was the hardest move of my life. I never thought I would enjoy anywhere as much as I did St George. I moved around quite a bit before I got married and always ended up back in St George. That was home to me. However, It didn’t take long before I fell in love with Phoenix, largely because of the friends that we made. As much as I still miss St George and everyone there, especially my family, I’m so happy we were able to live here and meet the people we never would have met otherwise. Moving is not easy at all. It’s actually so hard and that’s why I think a lot of people never move far from home. One thing I have realized through these moves is that it makes you a stronger person and strenghthens your family, because you only have each other.
As sad as I am to leave, I am excited for this new adventure and the wonderful people we will continue to meet along the way. I am sure it is going to be a rough couple of months trying to get familiar with everything and not knowing anyone, but I will get through it eventually. I appreciate all of your comments and support. It means the world!
Hope you all have a great Sunday! xoxo

Love,
I haven’t ever commented, but I’ve enjoyed following your blog. You have such a fun sense of style and fashion, and I wish I had your perfect skin and hair 😉 anyway – I feel like I know you since we used to live next to your in-laws… I was really close with Dana, she talked about you guys all the time, and I’ve seen Rowan running around on more than one occasion. I just have to tell you that I can echo EXACTLY how you feel in this post. We moved back to St. George just over a year ago. We intended to stay there for forever. Like you, St. George was home to us. We loved our little neighborhood, we loved our neighbors, we LOVE that city! Not to mention I totally fell in love with Norm and Dana and I probably miss them the most. BUT, despite our best attempts, we ended up moving a month ago to the place we swore we would never ever live. So not only did I have to leave the place I thought I would be for forever, we ended up moving to a place I never had the desire to be or raise my family. It was a hard transition, but the thing that made it easier was knowing that we were making the right decision, and for whatever reason this is where we are supposed to be. And I’m happy to say that we actually really like it here so far. We live in a really great little area. Even though I miss St. George SO MUCH, I have my family, and we have settled in quite nicely. We are happy with our new home, and we are anxiously awaiting warmer weather. Anyway, good luck. I know how hard it is. But you have such a darling family that I know you guys will be okay. I can’t wait to see new pictures and hear how everything goes. I wish we were close to you so that I could have you do my hair. And I really need someone to teach me a thing or 2 about eyebrows, but that’s another story all together. Good luck with everything!!! And sorry that comment was so long.

Hey Alicia!! Really?! yay you live here? What part are you living in? Also congrats on the baby coming!! Babies are so fun! XO
Yay! So jealous! Moving sucks…we moved from cedar to the East Bay for my husbands job about 4 years ago, and the transition was rough…but I met our best friends for life there and the city is amazing. There’s no better food anywhere and the culture is awesome–always something unique to do. I love it! I saw you’ll be living in San Ramon? We lived in Concord. San Ramon is such a nice place. There’s a pizza place in town there called Zachary’s. It’s one of our favorites. Super excited for you guys! I can’t wait for us to be done with school and get back there. Congrats!

I don’t know if you remember me, but I met you in Cedar when you were dating one of Mark’s friends (Rhett). I just wanted to tell you that Mark & I lived in SF for 3 yrs while he was in dental school. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me. You will love it! Mark & I are now back in St. George, but we miss that beautiful city. I wish you all the best!
