Casey and I have been thinking about getting a new second car for FOREVER and finally decided to pull the trigger! We’ve had his car literally since we’ve been married (over 10 years ago) and keeping up with it’s maintenance just wasn’t worth it anymore. We weren’t sure what we wanted but we knew that we wanted a car that was a little bit less of a family car if you know what I mean (don’t always love rollin up into San Fransisco for date night in a mini van!) We were so excited to partner with Walnut Creek Mercedes to find a good second car for our family! Throughout the whole process they have been nothing but accommodating to us. Every time we went into their office they were so sweet and I never felt pressured. They are also very family friendly and were really cool with me bringing my kids in, they have a great play area.
I had always thought a Mercedes would be too far out of our price range, but after meeting with them we learned that a lot of their options are way more reasonable than we had originally thought. To help us choose the perfect car, they loaned us 3 different cars to drive for 2-3 weeks each. Here are the 3 cars we tried and our pro’s and con’s for each!
Finding a Good Second Car:
Mercedes-Benz C300
Pros:
– Spacey for a small car
– Drove really nice
– Loved the look of this car
Cons:
– Didn’t have as much space for Casey’s medical products
Mercedes-Benz CLA
Pros:
– Very sporty, good looking
– Cheapest option out of the 3
– Compact
Con:
– Tiny car! Great fit for single girl, but too small for Casey to fit comfortably (he is 6′ 1” )
Mercedes-Benz GLC
Pros:
-Has a lot of room/ extra trunk space
– Great pricing for a small suv
– Could fit 3 kids in the back (if we wanted to…)
Cons:
– Doesn’t look quite as classy or sporty as the other 2 options
Out of all the 3 options, we liked the C300 and the GLC mostly because since Casey will be primarily driving it, we need him to feel like he had enough space to sit comfortably in the car. He also needs enough room to store all the product for his medical sales.
We ended up going with the GLC and are so happy with our choice! It was a little bigger than the C300 so we will be able to fit all 3 kids in the back (if we really have to haha). We are really happy with our choice and decided to go with the gray color (see below pics). What do you guys think?!
