Lettie turned four? How did that happen?! My little girl is getting so big, it’s killing me! We threw her a ballerina birthday party with a few of her friends to celebrate! She was so excited, even though literally about half the girls she invited were sick with either a cold or the flu thanks to everyone swapping germs over Christmas break. But she still had a blast at her ballerina birthday party!
I’m always a little stressed when it comes to planning birthday parties, which is why I usually have someone else throw them for me. haha Ahh, I’m so bad, I know. I feel like everyone always does such an amazing job and it’s just easier to have someone else do it! But this year (don’t judge me) I put off planning this ballerina birthday party until it was literally too late to get anyone to help me. No one would do it, probably because it was in like 3 days and I had done absolutely nothing! So my friend and I joined forces and somehow pulled a decent party out of our butts (excuse my language haha, but it really was a miracle!) At least the kids loved it, so that was good enough for me. We did makeup, hair, manicures, made magic wands (paper and glitter can do some amazing things), had a freeze dance party, ate some AMAZING cupcakes from Kara’s Cupcakes, Lettie tried and failed to blow out the candles without spitting all over the cake, and elegantly sipped our tea (pink lemonade, don’t tell them) while watching that new movie “Leap”. Which, by the way, was a huge hit if you have any kiddos that want to be ballerinas like I do.
Decorating the ballerina birthday party table was so fun. We may have gone a little bit overboard on the flowers, but I just can’t help myself! If you’re ever in a time crunch and need to make something look fancy, the answer is a lot of flowers. haha Rowen and Casey did a pretty good job of hiding for most the party, but I was able to drag them out into the frenzy of pink and flowers to take a picture. We got the shot and they conveniently disappeared again. haha It was special day for my girl, we love her so much!
Thanks for stopping by!
xx,
How adorable !
