We had such an amazing time in Maui! I actually lived on Oahu after high school for a bit, so there will always be a special place in my heart for Hawaii! It’s always so fun to come back. Last year we went to Kauai (post here!) and had so much fun but we wanted to try something different this year!

Casey and I aren’t huge on packing our schedules full during a vacation, but we still love to get out and do a few things in between beach time! I put together a bucket list of fun things to do in Maui! Most of the things we did while we were there, and some of them we wanted to do but didn’t have the time (or the energy! haha!)

Fun Things to Do In Maui:

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa

We absolutely LOVED staying at the Hyatt Regency in Maui! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone thinking about a resort. We went without kids, but I saw tons of families there and it made me wish we had brought the whole family! It’s located right on Ka’anapali Beach and the resort is literally paradise. They have amazing pools and there are also a ton of kid pools and slides.  Here are some of the things we did at the resort that I would totally recommend!

Paddle Boarding: One of our favorite things to do in Hawaii is to paddle board! We were so excited that the Hyatt had everything we needed to go out and paddle board for the day!

Marilyn Monroe Spa: Their spa was super relaxing, and it was located right in the Hyatt. The view was right on the ocean which made it even more perfect. Their treatments were fairly priced and everyone working there was amazing.

Drums of the Pacific Luau: This was one of the things we wish our kids were here for! The luau was so fun, and the performance and food was amazing!

Japengo: We loved eating at Japengo, they have Asian fusion food and it was so so good!

Poolside lunch: We loved getting lunch while we were out at the pool most days! The food was really good and the service was great!

Tour of the Stars: We loved this tour! It would have been really fun for kids to do too! They take you onto the roof of the resort and an astronomer teaches you about all the constellations.

Mama’s Fish House

Mama’s Fish House was probably one of the most expensive lunches we’ve ever had! It’s also so hard to get into. We made our reservation 3 weeks in advance, and still only got a 3:30 time slot! The food was amazing though, I’m so glad we made it in!

Star Noodle

Star Noodle was actually pretty cheap, and SO SO good! They serve Asian Fusian food, and it’s ranked really high. Apparently the chefs  are all really well known, too! We waited in line for an hour, but it was so worth it! I think Star Noodle was one of  our favorite meals.

Roy’s

Roy’s had a really fun, fancy atmosphere and had really good fresh fish! It’s fine dining, so a little more pricey, but the food was worth it!

Ahihi-Kinau Natural Reserve

I’m so glad we made this a priority! Ahihi-Kinau is basically miles of volcanic rock just outside the Haleakala volcano. It was so beautiful and was a pretty easy hike!

Road to Hana

We started driving the Road to Hana, but didn’t make it through the whole thing! The sights off of the road are so beautiful and there are a ton of different spots you can stop and explore. Totally recommend this!

Snorkeling

Another thing that I always love doing in Hawaii is snorkeling! We didn’t have enough time, but if you haven’t ever been, this is a MUST! Especially in Hawaii, because the water is so clear and it’s so beautiful.

Warran & Annabelles Magic Show

Everyone we talked to told us that we had to go to Warran & Annabelles Magic show on front street! We really wanted to go but apparently you have to book like 2 months in advance, so we didn’t make it this time!

Designer Bags

I always love shopping all the designer stores when I’m in Hawaii because you can get designer bags for way cheaper than on the main land! We didn’t end up having any time, though. Next time for sure!
