All you Bay Area mommas out there! Have you heard about the all-new children’s hospital that just opened in Palo Alto? If not, listen up. Honestly, none of us ever want to be in position where we need to spend very much time at a children’s hospital. But the thing is, some of us find ourselves in situations where we do need to find a good children’s hospital. One that we can not only trust, but that also provides the best possible experience for our kids.

Our good friends in Utah have the cutest 6-year-old boy. They just found out that he has Osteosarcoma (a bone cancer) and is now basically fighting for his life. I have been thinking about them so much. I just can’t even imagine what it must be like to go through something so heartbreaking.  Our little angels that go through some of life’s hardest challenges absolutely deserve the best medical facilities, care, and technology out there.

What makes this Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital so awesome?

So here are some of the cool things about Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. It’s like no other children’s hospital in the nation because of so many reasons. Like the latest technology designed for kids, and the design of the facilities which includes indoor and outdoor spaces to provide the best possible care for patients and their families.

Every aspect of the hospital was considered with kids and families in mind to bring a sense of normalcy and comfort that helps kids feel like kids, despite being in a hospital. The new hospital also has increased capacity to care for more patients than ever before. One of the coolest things about Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford is that it incorporates nature. They have gardens, balconies, windows that look into the gardens, planter boxes outside the rooms, etc… I love this because I really do believe that being outside in nature can bring a sort of healing itself.

If you’re in search of care for your little ones and you’re in the area, check them out.
