If there’s one easy thing that can instantly glam up your look, it’s lipstick. But for something
that is such a game changer, it is so hard to find the perfect color, am I right?! Sometimes I
just find myself staring at all the rows and rows and rows of colors because how in the
world am I supposed to find the right one? There are so many different consistencies,
finishes, and undertones that make it more of a stressful experience than a fun one. Even for
someone like me who’s been around the makeup block more than a few times it’s still a
tricky task.
MATTEMOISELLE LIPSTICK COLLECTION REVIEW
Well, get ready for your life to change, because Fenty Beauty by Rihanna just came out with
a new line of lipstick– called Mattemoiselle – and it has some of the best lipstick options for
the new year. And get this, there are 14 shades! Which means that Rihanna has already
narrowed down your choices to the best 14 so you won’t have to spend half your day trying
to decide which one to get. Haha. Her collection has a range of neutrals, classic reds, berry,
and some seriously high-voltage colors like bold fuchsia or periwinkle. A little something for
everyone.
I went to check out the new shades and got a free makeover at Sephora inside JCPenney and
had so much fun. They have all the shades of the Mattemoiselle collection from Fenty
Beauty by Rihanna at #SephoraInJCP The lipsticks have a weightless matte finish, which is
my favorite, and the color seriously lasts all day. You get the mega rich color, minus the
weight. So perfect.
The Matemoiselle colors that I’m wearing here are Spanked, Up 2 No Good, and One of the Boyz. (I know,
the names are a little naughty, but Rihanna’s a little naughty too, so ya know. Haha) Spanked
was the color I chose to wear with my everyday, yoga pants and sweater mom look. It’s a
good neutral and can go with just about everything. Up 2 No Good is the “party” purple that I wore with a gold blazer in a more out-on- the-town look. It’s definitely a fun color that makes any outfit look more exciting.
One of the Boyz is the last color I’m wearing. It’s a perfect burgundy and I chose to pair it
with a blush eyelet dress for more of a dressy occasion. This color would even be perfect for just dressing up for work.
It’s hard to find a lipstick that can work for everyone because we all have such different
complexions, but the Mattemoiselle collection has options for everybody. Rihanna made it
easy for you to collect statement colors that pop as well as every day colors that you’ll use
