HOME REVEAL PART 2

Today I am sharing the second part of the home reveal, which includes our family room and breakfast nook!  This room is so cozy and we love spending time in here!  Thanks again to my friend Kaylee who put it all together for me!

I have been in love with this sofa from Article and still can’t get over the perfect caramel color and how comfortable it is.  This room functions as our family hang out spot and we also needed an area for Rowen to do homework. The addition of a small desk and chair has been perfect for Rowen and Lettie to use.  They love sitting here and working on projects.  I love that they can hang up artwork here too and be proud of their accomplishments.

The fun graphic prints above the couch are from Sugarhouse Supply and I have LOVED them.  They are simple graphics, yet make such a big impact on the room.  I like the reminder I get from them each day to just breathe in each moment I have with my kids and enjoy life!  The hanging macrame planters and large Macrame wall hanging were done by the amazingly talented Robyn Parker of Woven by Ro.  They add such fun details to this room!  The brass plant hanger and throw on the sofa are from Truck & Barter.  Each little detail really brings a room to life I’ve decided!

The Sofa pillows are from Ebb & Thread and The Citizenry.  I love the urban vibe and patterns they bring into the space.  The Sauda baskets on the fireplace are also from The Citizenry and they are perfect for toy storage!  I want my house to look nice and put together, but also need to make sure everything is also functional for me.  I love that these baskets can stack and store toys easily and look great next to the fireplace all at the same time!

The rug from Rugs USA is one of my absolute favorite pieces in this space.  Since I can’t do anything to change the flooring, the next best thing according to Kaylee is to get a large area rug to cover it up and provide a beautiful foundation for the room!  It definitely worked here and helped transform this room!

The breakfast nook is now a place where we love to start our mornings together eating.  This table was one I already owned and wanted to make use of still.  It used to be against the other wall and just felt weird and wasn’t functional since everyone always hit their head on the cupboard that is randomly placed out further!  Kaylee moved the table against the window, so now we enjoy a view while we eat in the mornings and no one is hitting their heads anymore!  Just a simple rearrangement of furniture can be a big fix to a room.  The addition of a bar cart underneath the cupboard helped to balance out that area and make the lone cupboard not look so weird too!

The Azteca rug in the nook is from Lorena Canals and has been amazing because it is washable!  Literally you can throw it in the wash and it comes out perfectly clean!  Best thing ever when you have little kiddos running around!  The fun letter board is from Letterfolk and we have loved making fun messages on it together as a family!  Everything in this little breakfast nook space is so personal and homey to us now.  We love it!  It’s amazing how much better I have felt living in this house now that we have made it more of a home!  Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more home reveals down the road!  Next up on my project list is to re-decorate all the bedrooms!

XoXo
