So this is a rare having this hot man of mine on the blog unless it’s like a family picture. He has never done a outfit post (and probably never will again) unless I force him to take a picture like I did here! A couple of weeks ago we went on a little casual date night and my photographer/friend Nathalie watched the kids of us so I had her hurry and snap a few pics of us! And lets just say he wasn’t very happy about it haha. He hates taking picture! I don’t know why, because he is easy on the eyes and always takes such great pic’s!! Oh well, I guess I am going to have to sneak a few pictures of him every once in while.
Here is the deal, finding what to wear for a causal date night is harder then you think. Who else agrees?! I feel like getting really dressed up can sometime be easier. The problem I always was having is, I have a lot of really dressy, fancy clothes and then a lot of casual, mom-style clothes. So that in between, not too dressy but to so causal look is hard to sometimes figure out. Here is 3 steps that I do and will help solve that problem for you and your man!
1. Always stick with black, white and grey if nothing else seems to work. They are all classic colors so everyone looks great in them. And they go with almost anything!
2. Always add heels. This will instantly make you feel more dressed up! Especially if you are wearing jeans. And for men, go with a slimmer jean/top for a date night instead of a bagger fit.
3. Add layers. By adding a nice jacket, vest, scarf, or coat it adds texture and makes a outfit look more polished. For example, like I did in the pictures. I added a black jacket over the white sweater. It automatically made it look more dressy by just adding one simple piece of clothing! So layering is must! Even in the warmer months. Just stick to lighter clothing, like a light jacket or vest!
Hope that helps!! I would love to know you favorite ways to dress for a casual date night or girls night?!
Happy Friday, yay love Fridays! XO,
