This is our last look out of the Vintage & Thrifted post. Maxi skirts and long dresses are perfect for the spring and summer weather. I got my skirt from the DI a local consignment store in the area. One thing that I have learned from my thrift shopping is you have to take time to sort through things to find the perfect piece. Most of the time they look much better on then they do off. When I saw this skirt I didn’t love it much until I tried it on!
This beauty Annette, (who’s in the pictures with me) is going to give some more amazing advice on thrifting.
These are key pieces that you can collect and are my all time favorite’s to shop for. That particular Vintage dress that fits you like a glove. Now, these are a little harder to shop for. I visit sites like ETSY.COM or EBAY for certain dresses. Make sure before you do this you know your body and measurements. I’m pretty average so I find pieces easily. Sometimes I have them tailored to my waist or bust line if needed. Locally here in Southern Utah, there’s no other place I’d rather shop than URBAN RENEWAL by Jenny Larsen. Its a consignment shop that focuses on furniture and home decor but carries a small line of clothing and a lot of vintage pieces. My dress I purchased online and denim jacket is a new item from Urban renewal! I love them both.
I hope these few post have gave you some good ideas and help you feel more comfortable about thrifting! I would love to hear feedback or if you have more tips to share that would be great! Hope you all have a great day! Thanks so much for reading!
