What is Maskcara Makeup?
Maskcara Beauty is a makeup line created by Cara Killpack, a blogger and makeup artist. The makeup is great for busy women who want to simplify their beauty routine by only having to apply one layer of makeup and having everything stored in one compact. The main Maskcara Makeup system is called IIID foundation. This IIID makeup system helps you to Highlight and Contour (HAC) your face by using a highlight shade to brighten your face, and a contour shade to add dimension to your face.
Who is Cara?
Cara Brook Killpack is a blogger ( good friend of mine) and makeup artist. She started Maskcara Makeup when she was blogging at www.maskcara.com. Cara created her own makeup line, Maskcara Beauty, and sold it online through her website for a few years before she opened up the company to direct distributors in early 2017.
What’s so different about Maskcara Beauty Makeup?
Maskcara is a cream-based makeup that is designed so you only use one layer of makeup on your face. You put your highlight color(s) where you want to highlight and brighten your face. The contour color helps to bring in shadows under your cheekbones and jawline. Each shade of makeup comes in it’s own tin that you store in a magnetic compact. There’s no need to buy colors you don’t need, so there is no waste. This beauty product goes on quickly and eliminates the need for a lot of other products. Many women who use this product line are amazed at how quickly they can apply their makeup!
What products do you need to get started?
The basic Maskcara Makeup compact usually contains 1-2 highlight shades, a contour shade, a lip+cheek color, and an illuminator shade. These 4-5 tins of makeup are enough to cover your whole face. There are a few Maskcara Makeup brushes that I love to use to apply my makeup with. All of the Maskcara brushes are specially created to work with the creams in Maskcara Makeup.
How much do I need to spend to get started?
A basic custom Maskcara Makeup palette plus a brush costs about $100, and it will last you months. This beauty product line is high quality, highly pigmented (a little goes a long way!), easy and fast to apply, and compact. This makes it perfect for busy women who are trying to get out the door quickly and want to look good doing it.
What if I want more than the basics?
If you want to add more to your Maskcara Makeup compacts, it’s simple and easy to do that. Maskcara offers a full line of eyeshadows in creams ($14 ea.) and powders ($12 ea.). Maskcara also has an amazing skin care line that is easy to use and high quality.
Want more than one brush? No problem! There are 10 brushes to choose from, all developed specifically for the cream foundation colors and Maskcara’s eyeshadows. They range in price from $18 to $36 and I love the fact that the brushes are double-ended so there is less clutter in my makeup drawer.
If you are someone who loves all things makeup and beauty, you’ll love the fact that no matter how much Maskcara Makeup you buy, you can still store it all easily and compactly in the magnetic compacts that range in size from a small square that holds 2 large tins or 4 small tins to a triple layer artist palette that holds 60 large tins or 120 small tins!
